Due to a renovation in the Descartesbuurt, some letters on the gables of houses cannot be preserved. Ymere has asked artist Floor Riedel to create a design inspired by the old facades. The design features a graphic illustration with the letters “WEST” surrounded by motifs of plants, trees, and animals. SCA appreciates the careful artist selection process, neighborhood involvement, support, and the financial and technical justification. Therefore, SCA is positive about this design.
