Het Stadscuratorium gave a positive recommendation in 2020 regarding the plan for a serial artwork and remained involved in the further process, represented by Radna Rumping. After a careful selection process, in which three artists were invited to present sketch designs, James Beckett’s proposal was unanimously chosen as the favorite. SCA is enthusiastic about James Beckett’s conceptual and executive work because of its complexity and exciting approach to the present and past of the area.
