Artist Cindy Bakker created ‘The Ball’ as a colourful, playful sculpture especially for children, intended to invite them to interact and play.
With its striking shape and vibrant colours, it embodies her vision to make art accessible and enjoyable for many, including the youngest generations. Unfortunately, ‘The Ball’ was vandalised during New Year 2024, highlighting the fragility of art in public spaces.
Cindy Bakker continues to inspire with her work, which invites us to look at everyday objects with new eyes.
