The lens trees

Thom (Thomas William) Puckey

What is a better place for reflection than a university? A place where you learn different perspectives about yourself and your position in the environment. In this artwork by Thomas Puckley the passerby sees themselves reflected.

The round lenses work as reversed magnifying glasses, through which the environment is displayed upside down and from seemingly far away. Often the sculptures of Thomas Puckey, in which he asks for an active position from the viewer, are a total sensory experience.
