Another new work of art!
The Underground Tree, now on display in Westerpark, honors the old chestnut tree that stood here until 2020 and was loved by many local residents. The artwork, designed by Tanja Smeets, shows a fallen tree with its roots up, a reference to the hidden world beneath the ground and the power of connection. Made with 3D printed tubes, the work invites reflection on nature and her perseverance.
